NEWS UPDATE: "You're never getting the gold"
(24 Jan 2009)

-"You're never getting the gold". Those were the words uttered by "The Weasel" Mark Beale backstage following their 2nd successful WWP World Tag Team Title defence against The Madalas. "Week in, week out, the WDP dominates! We are here in force and you have nothing! You are weak! Skull, Tornado, you can keep coming for more but I recommend you give up because the titles are going nowhere. Go back to your day job and stay out of our business. Don't you people ever learn?" The Madalas were seen in the locker room seated quietly on the bench, heavily letdown by the result. Skull then calmly stated, "This isn't the end. Tornado and I haven't come this far to lose like this." His voice then raised, "Those Weasels haven't seen the last of us, that I can guarantee you. We won't stop charging at those cowards until we get what's ours, you hear me? If they won't stop <expletive> cheating then we won't stop coming at 'em! Next week, if we don't get another shot me and Tornado are gonna rip this flipping place apart. The gold belongs to us, Skull and Tornado! We are the real champions!"

-With every single WDP member at ringside, Joe E Legend successfully retained the WWP World Heavyweight Title against Steve Eden. In a near win for Eden, the cobra clutch was locked in on Legend and had him tapping, until Mikey Whiplash intervened and laid in a shot to Eden's back with a steel chair. Legend proceeded to finish Eden with the Hospital Job, giving him the three-count as fans in the arena protested. Legend had a huge smile on his face as he entered the backstage area, rubbing the gold with his hands at the same time. "Ha ha, another day, another win for the one and only Legend. This is how the WDP rolls. There's no chance anyone is stealing the belt from me as long as we're here. The Book of Legend says the WWP World Heavyweight Title is destined to be around my waist FOREVER!" In an unseen occurrence, Steve Eden quickly ran after Whiplash as soon as he spotted him in the locker room, but Whiplash managed to escape just in time. Eden then booted a tog bog in frustration before asking for some privacy.

-Mikey Whiplash defeated Lizzard in five minutes after Lizzard made an error and missed a Lionsault. Our interviewer tried catching up with Lizzard afterward but Lizzard struck him with the skateboard. Whiplash made his way backstage before PJ Black, clad in informal wear, went face-to-face with him in a heated confrontation and issued a challenge for next week. PJ Black wants revenge for all the weeks of suffering and Whiplash has agreed to finally fight him.

-As the WDP were celebrating after another night of success, The Dealmaker was seen walking past the WDP office before being pulled in. Sounds of a struggle were heard before Murat shoved him back outside and shouted something in Turkish. Legend had to restrain Murat from further injuring Dealmaker. Dealmaker then straightened himself up and demanded that he and Murat go one-on-one next week, to which Murat replied with more incoherent shouting.
